Man, for 3 months, you were my best-fucking-friend. I had the times of my life just smoking and chilling all last summer with you, although a little foggy-headed at the time you taught me a lot about life. But being a Marine Spec Ops soldier has its wear and tear on a human’s mind and body, obviously. You were a tortured soul and in a lot of pain. I just wish I could’ve saved you that night. But again, you taught me a lot and in turn I guess your death gave me the gift of wisdom. Giving you that shit back was most definitely the biggest mistake of my life, and i will NEVER allow myself to let another loved one go through the hell you did, I promise. I know you’ll never see this, but it helps. I love you Joseph, I’ll never forget you.
